Friday 6.2 @19:00–21:15 (101min + Q&A)
Guldbagge award winning director Maria Eriksson-Hecht will visit us for a Q&A after the film in the café.
Alex and Robin are brothers who have lost their faith in adults and have learned to survive only on each other. An exceptionally strong bond has grown between them that nothing seems to be able to break. But when Alex falls in love, the world begins to shake. Robin feels abandoned and plunges into an uncontrollable free fall, from which his older brother desperately tries to reach him back. Alex carries guilt, love and duty in his chest – but can anyone be saved if they don’t want to be saved?
Maria Eriksson-Hecht’s directorial debut had its world premiere at the Gothenburg Film Festival in January 2025 and has received positive reviews from Swedish critics. Kevlarsjäl – Shockproof Soul is nominated for the Guldbagge Awards for Best Film, Direction, Screenplay (Pelle Rådström), Leading Actor (Josef Kersh), Supporting Actor (Torkel Petersson and Jonay Pineda Skallak) and Editing (Mervi Junkkonen and Robert Krantz).
